Guardian Angel

I remember the news, just like it was yesterday.
It was the news that tore me apart.
It was the day I heard you were in a wreck.
That night I laid awake asking god to save you from the pain you were in.

The next day, I waited for a call saying that you were going to be fine.
I called your house and began to panic...
For nobody picked up the phone.
A friend of mine told me she heard you didn't make it.
I told her "no it cant be true"
I talked to you the night before the wreck.

Later that night, watching the news...
They announced something I never expected...
That you left us for your new home above.

I guess god needed another angel
Because teh 17 years you were here
you were the angel that helped me get through everything.
If anyone needed help you were there.
God gave me an angel for a friend,
but he needed you back.
he had other jobs for you.

Now you'll be watching over me,
from your new home above.
you'll be with me where ever I might be.
Guiding and protecting me.
Because you are my Guardian Angel.
