Forbidden Love

by Tess Beautifully Broken   Jun 8, 2006

It pains her to see him,
For her heart pangs with every look,
Just one touch of a hand,
That was all it took.

She cannot love him,
Oh how difficult he can be,
But yet she does,
She loves the difficult boy that is he.

A boy,
Or should he be called a man,
She loves him so,
More then anyone can.

Why must she act like she does,
So pompous and cruel,
Why can't she just tell him,
Why can't she just defy the rule.

She knows she hurts him,
With every sarcastic remark,
He knows not that she loves him,
Why must the clouds in her eyes be so dark.

Her tongue,
She wishes she could just speak,
But as he watches her,
She seems to be quiet,
Almost meek.

The moon is full,
They stand alone,
Their eyes are heavy,
She knows her heart must be shown.

Before she can speak,
He takes her in his arms,
Her heart sings its praise,
Almost like silent alarms.

She is rich,
He is poor,
Her father will never approve,
And that she is sure.

She need not care,
For he is all she wants,
All she will ever need,
No matter the taunts.

He kisses her,
No matter how difficult is he,
No matter how sarcastic is she,
They are meant to be.
