Tears fell onto the page as a sat and wrote,
With my last hard breath i sealed that note.
Since i was ypung this was my plan all along,
He made me see that i was useless and wrong.
I packed my clothes and crept down the hallway,
Run away is my only option, i cannot stay.
I snuck to mums room and opened the door,
Tried not to make a sound as my foot touched the floor.
Walking over to mum i kissed her gently,
Whispered "Goodbye, one day you'll finally see,
That dad was the one that made me leave,
Be happy and be strong but please don't grieve"
I brushed her head and slowly said \\\"Sleep tight,
You were the only one that did treat me right"
I walked out the door, looked at mum then sighed,
Stepping down the stairs, i placed that note on the tabled then cried.
I turned the door knob and steeped out the door,
No more will he hit me and make me all sore.
The foggy air made it harder to see,
Without looking back i knew that i was free.
Next morning mum read that note in her head,
\\\"I love you mum\\\" was what she last read.
She knew that without me she\\\'d be all alone,
Her hands shook as she dialled my number on the phone.
I didn\\\'t pick up so she collapsed and started to cry,
Knowing that her precious daughter might die.
She never said goodbye so her heart got torn,
Now that her daughter is so far gone.
