Grandma

by Mousie   Jun 12, 2006

"I'm a ballerina!"
I said to Grandma then,
And she chuckled as she watched me
Parade around the den.

"Watch me hit a home run!"
I said to Grandma then,
And she clapped as I hit the ball
Right over the park fence.

"I can make a basket!"
I said to Grandma then,
And she gasped as it hit the rim
But then it soon fell in.

"I can play a pretty song!"
I said to Grandma then,
And she hummed along as I played
A symphony by Beethoven.

"I love you more than anything!
I say to Grandma now,
And she sits right down beside me
As we remember then and now.

This is very cute. I like the repetition, it makes it catchy. Nice job!
