Fallen

by Samantha lynn   Jun 12, 2006

Haunted memories seep
Into what was once
Your only survival.
Never knew what could happen
When you corrupted
Sweet innocence,
Left to fight a war alone
No one seems to win.

I felt like the sinner,
And yet you were no saint.
Simply fallen to earth
To devastate grace.

Tread softly in moonlight,
Cry in misery,
The salvation for your tourniquet
Brought me only further to despair.
How did I ignore the fangs
Fallen in the corners of your lips?
Impacting the gossamer skin meant
To protect my heart from your smoldering glare.
