The good times...

by Laura   Jun 13, 2006

When the trees were huge
A great mountain to climb
You couldn't make it to the top
But you will do next time

When the night was so scary
And the monsters seemed so real
When you heard that bump in the night
And all the emotions you would feel

When you got up in the morning
Wanting to go to school
All the fun things you got to do
When being smart was cool

When the summers were so great
You didn't want them to end
The water fights in the street
That you would have with your best friend

When your room was filled with cuddly toys
And they each would have a name
The way how if anything went wrong
You would never get the blame

When you and your friends had a secret den
Built from sticks and wood
Pretending you were superheroes
Like batman or Robin Hood

When tamagotchis were all the rage
The latest craze at the time
So innocent and care free
When children were in their prime

Making daisy chains in the fields
And making flower perfume
Performing an amazing magic trick
In your living room

When you had so much fun
Playing handstands or fighting
How you would race up to the park
To be the first one on the swing

When little things would amaze you
Like a butterfly in the sky
Or how other things would scare you
And often make you cry

What i wouldn't give
To go back a few years
To relive some of those moments
The happiness and the tears

Those days were the best
They're all in memory
The chapters that come next
Are just another part of our life story...
