Friends Again

by MK   Jun 13, 2006

Every night, I lie awake
With each breath that I take
Is another breath without you
And I know there’s nothing I can do…
To stop my heart as it bleeds
And there’s only one thing that I need.

Every moment we don’t speak-I hope
and every time I think of the memories- I pray
Every time I see you- I wish
that we could be friends again.

I want you back and I need you here
To get me through every tear
Because I leaned on you before you were gone
But now I’m alone, my strength withdrawn
And now I’m hanging alone on a lonely rope
But I’m left with a single hope…

Every moment we don’t speak-I hope
and every time I think of the memories- I pray
Every time I see you- I wish
that we could be friends again.

It really feels so wrong
When you smile and I can’t laugh along
That used to be you and me
I want things back how they used to be
Back when it was all okay
All I can do is pray…

Every moment we don’t speak-I hope
and every time I think of the memories- I pray
Every time I see you- I wish
that we could be friends again.

Every single night and day
Every time you look my way

I hope, I pray

That we could be friends again.
