I'm Sorry

by Lauren   Feb 22, 2004

This is my poem,
This is my story.
To anyone who didn't know,
I am so very sorry.

I'm sorry you don't know me,
I'm sorry you weren't there.
But I can make it on my own,
No one needs to care.

The scars, they hold a story,
That my face could never show.
Even to ones close to me,
You will never know.

I'm sorry, I don't know how or why it started,
But I've learned a lot down this path.
From starving to perfection,
To cutting in the bath.

How can you tell me,
I'm not old enough to know.
Your trying to hard to protect me,
You need to let me go.

For I know more than you can see,
No one will easily hurt me.

Because with all of the pain that I have been through,
I have put up a wall even you can't get to.

I'm sorry..
