I Stole A Kiss

by Saeki Toru   Jun 14, 2006

I stole a kiss
From your treasure chest.
Still unsure of this;
Can't get myself to rest.

I need you to teach me
A lesson somehow.
Make me free
From regret, and apply it to me now.

I deserve a good kick,
Or maybe a punch or two,
Knowing what makes you tick,
And doing what I did to you.

But all you give me is words
Of understanding and kindness.
I've forgotten how powerfully that sword
Can pierce through the blindness.

I can see now why I was jealous,
And why I tried to steal your gold.
I wanted we to be just us,
To leave you out there in the cold.

I know now I was wrong,
That I can't take your prize.
She and I just don't belong,
And it took this long to realize.
