THE Night

As I look into the moon lit sky, I see the stars shining bright.
They look just like my angel's eyes, Dark and blue and full of light.
The darkness holds me like your hands. Cold and soft like velvet.
It was something that was oh so grand, like when we'd just met.
I felt the cold let go of me, as it was almost dawn,
I knew we'd never come to be, everything would soon be gone.
Although we will never be,
I hope you'll always remember me.
