Life for Rent

by kd   Jun 14, 2006

Ignore this voice.
Ignore the soul undercover.
She has no other choice.
Just to hate with for more stress.
Unwanted hatred.
Forgetting every thing else.
Doing what was best for me.
Sitting isolated and alone.
What else was there meant to be?
Officer whispers in her ear,
And touches her thigh; mutters,
What do you want my dear?
She still has those dreams.
Of the blessed day,
When they hear her screams.
Shes willing to sacrifice,
Give up her youth,
Just for his life.
She looks into her heart.
He digs in deeper.
Tearing her apart.
Is this worth fighting for?
She asks the skies,
Am I not worth for more?
Why was it sent down at this moment?
Why did he send her courage now?
Shes given her life for rent.
