Stuck in the Middle

What is left
When two friends feud
And there's nothing to say
And nothing you can do

When two close people
Are completely lost
And to make them feel better
Your heart is the cost

When one loves the other
And one isn't sure
And you're stuck in the middle
To find both of them a cure

But you can't seem to find
A way for it to end
One side will be happy
And the other won't comprehend

There's no way around
This feud that I'm in
And I can't back out now
That would be like a sin

But what can I do?
When I myself am confused
does it not matter?
That my heart is being bruised?

Does it not make a difference
That I, myself am not sure
And its tearing me apart
Trying to find their answer

So, what is left
When two friends fight
And you're left to fix
All their problems in one night

When two people feel hurt
And you're their "stable-being"
So you push aside everything
That you're really feeling

When one is upset
And the other is left to wait
And you're the chosen person
To decide their outcome and fate

But what can I do
Except sit here and try
To make them both happy
While inside I die...

*It's hard being in the middle, and always having an answer expected from you...
