Stop what you doing, It's killing me inside

by Sara Ruhnke   Jun 16, 2006

Everyday you light a cigarette
Or what I like to call a Cancer stick
And you see the smoke rise and you can smell it
And oh how it makes me sick

Why do you do it mom?
Don't you know it's bad for you?
Why did you ever start?
I mean do you even have a clue?

You are not only ruining your lungs
But your also ruining mine
And why should I pay for your bad choses?
I mean if you keep doing this...I will not be fine

I could get Lung cancer
From your 2nd hand smoke
Or in the future
I could also have a stroke

All because of your bad addition
To the tar from the street
I know that if you try
This Addition you can beat

Me breathing in the 2nd hand smoke
Is just like me having a cigarette
Did you know that?
So go to the store and my some Nicorete

Buy or try anything to stop this
Because I'm sick of the smell
And how I can't breathe some times
I guess I can just kiss my lungs farewell

Because every time I breathe that in
My Lung dies a little bit more
And so does yours
Don't you just wish you could go back to before?

Well you can mom
If you'd only try
I mean is Lung Cancer
Really the way you want to die?

If you don't try
I will break them in half and throw them away
I don't care if you scream and shout
I'll still do it everyday

Because I'd rather get yell at
Then have you ruin your life with some stupid thing
I mean do you really know
How much happiness it would bring?

So next time you go to grab a cigarette
Think about these words
And think about
All of the other bad things you've heard

For if you do truly love me
You will try your best to quit
And I know it will be hard
You have to admit

But please just try for me
Because I love you, and I don't want you to die
Just because of a stupid cancer stick
So just kiss that cigarette good-bye
