Last words

They say they're trying their best to save him, as the light in his eyes goes dim. But one by one they slowly step away from me, from him so they dont have to say, hes almost gone now and the end is near. You should say goodbye to him while hes here. So I gather up my strength, my courage, and my thoughts, so that I could tell him about what he sought. When I got to his bed I could see in his eyes, that what I was gonna say wouldn't come as a surprise. He said, There's no need to say it, so don't even try. I ready and prepared to die. But I really need to say it; it's my thing to do. I just really need to tell you that I love you too.
