**This is the very first poem I wrote when I was 10. Most people don't get what I was trying to say. My parents split when I was 2 and I always thought my Dad didn't want me. This is pretty much about him not wanting me.**
If only you knew what life was like for me.
If only you could understand.
I loved it when you use to hold me.
And take me by the hand.
If only you could realize that I grew up.
That I'm not your baby girl anymore.
You broke my heart in little pieces
The day you slammed the door.
If only you were around to see me become a woman.
Maybe things wouldn't be this way.
I loved you to death , Dad.
But you had to go away.
If only I knew what life was like for you.
Maybe I could understand.
And this time I could hold you.
And take you by your hand.
