Cry

by Lisi Browning   Jun 17, 2006

All I can do is cry
watching you go on alone.
I can't save you
from the torment
you go through.
I want to cry
watching you go by
watching you cry
from the torment
of your life.
I want to reach out,
to hold you close.
I want to save you,
but I can't,
-and it tears me apart inside-
tears me to pieces,
breaks me down,
and all I can do is watch
from the sidelines
watching everything go down.
I want to cry
watching you cry
from the torment
of your life.
I want to reach out,
to hold you close.
I want so bad
to save you,
but every time I reach out,
It's like you're a ghost-
like a whisp of the wind-
you're gone.
I want to reach out-
shelter you from everything.
But I can't.
You're gone-
like a ghost
wand'ring the earth.
Gone-
like the wild wind
Gone-like you
were never here
at all.
