To stand up high on Hadrian's Wall,
past meets present. History shows
of royal deeds when Rome did call,
to stand up high on Hadrian's Wall.

In England lies this rocky sprawl,
across her spanning fields of rose;
To stand up high on Hadrian's Wall,
past meets present, history shows.
