What am I to you?

by Nada   Jun 17, 2006

What am I to you?
Am I the roots of your love?
Or am I a leaf of your tree?
A leaf that will grow and nurture on your love
Until you do not need her any longer and leave her to fall
To fall on all your lies and deception
To fall to the ground and never be helped up every again
A leaf so innocent, but yet foolish to believe you
Foolish enough to be blinded because of your love
She lost her beautiful rich color and disintegrated to her disappearance
Am I going to be that leaf?
Or am I going to be the roots of your love?
The roots that will help you stand and grow
While it spreads with your happiness and wisdom
So what am I to you?
