Music of Rain

by STAR   Feb 23, 2004

As I sit here alone I listen the the rain falling from the sky. In the silence of my room I travel to a place in my mind that allows me to listen to the rains journey.
Each droplet with its own destination, starting from the clouds above as a pebble of ice. As it travels down towards us it changes from a possible harmful piece of ice into a harmless beautiful flake of snow. As it travels down closer to our reach, it transforms once again to now a single droplet of water, to land upon an object with a gentle patting sound.
Accompanied by many of its friends, they join together to refresh and moisten the natural world around us. Creating beautiful music as they fall in scattered melodies.
I hear the music deep in my soul, for each droplet represents to me a single moment in my life. Some falling to enhance the world around me and others so overwhelming I feel as if I am drowning. Yet the music plays so sweetly I am comforted, for those moments in my life that love is present, no amount of rain could ever wash away.
