One Last Love Story

by DarkOpex   Jun 18, 2006

Pick up the pen,
And I'll be your paper.
Fill me with love, hate and laughter.

Close me quick
and I'll try to move on.
But don't keep me waiting on
that shelf too long.

Walk away and I'll fake a smile.
It's ok just for a while.
I'll let you leave
Just write one more page.
Tell me why, is all it should say.

Rip out a chapter,
And re-write it now.
Make yourself happy, I promise it's aloud.

Rip off my cover,
And strip me of a spine.
Make me what you want
I promise it's fine.

Walk away, and I'll fake a smile.
It's ok, just for a while.
I'll let you leave
Just write one more page.
Tell me why, is all it should say.

Rip off my cover,
And strip me of a spine.
Light up my pages.
I promise it's fine.
