This Girl Is Me

by _Giving Up_   Jun 20, 2006

She told her friends,
They deserve to know,
But now they aren't speaking,
Her pain soon grows.

She couldn't bear the pain,
So she ran for the knife,
It's not like her friends know,
Why she goes through so much strife.

They just get mad,
And say 'I hate you!'
She hates herself too though,
And this pain is nothing new.

She's dealt with it forever,
But now she cuts her arm,
She likes to call it dealing,
But her friends call it self-harm.

They'll never understand,
Why she wants to die,
But every time she cuts,
Her friends want to cry.

She's learned to keep it all inside,
No one cares how she feels,
If she died, they'd all be happy,
So the knife is how she deals.

She wants someone to care,
She needs someone to see,
But I'm the only one who sees this girl,
Because this girl is me.
