My immortal Joe Black

by SnivelingPsycho   Jun 21, 2006

Its that feeling you'd do anything to hold on to,
but sometimes have to let go of,
only to leave its purity intact.
what a beautiful thing you cant have,
so much more than a companion.
an indescribable abundance of sweet nothings and funny feelings.
would you mind if I express my gratitude,
for the diamond youâ??ve given me.
when he goes one man and comes back another,
my selfless lover, to leave me like this
in that instance I had my back turned to gaze at death and taxes
disappearing over the bridge with my father.
though I saw you come back, you never returned
and each time I look into the face of my lover, I remember you
and I always will
because I love you as you are
how you were then
my immortal Joe Black
