Inside of Me (an old poem of mine)

In*I found this the other day in a notebook of some of my old poems...I just felt like submitting it..

As I sit here in this place
My thoughts fill me with disgrace
As the memories flood my mind
There's no safety I can find

Forgiveness seems impossible
The tears are almost unstoppable
So much fear and hurt inside
My emotions going on quite a ride

I wipe the tears from my eyes
So no one sees what my smile hides
I lock up my thoughts and walk out the door
It's just time to pretend again, nothing more..
