The lingering mistress

by george   Jun 21, 2006

Time is one thing we can not gain back
The sky that was blue has now faded to black
As soon as the sun rises, it seems to set
Your once steady shadow is no longer a silhouette

Time never freezes or takes time to wait
It does not have patience and does not hesitate
To steal the moments you want to hold true
Time will take what is important to you

Do not underestimate the power she controls
Every corner and nook she does patrol
Just watching and waiting for her time to come
She is not something you can abstain from

There is one thing that Time can not take
Those are the memories you have been able to make
So cherish the times that made you smile
And live for the memories that make your life worthwhile.
