The Colors Of Suffering Painted Onto A Bed of Torment

Smiling through the blankets of black
The sun turns us to stone
Our perfect scenery has a crack
I always knew we were all alone

Breathing through the sheets of red
The moon brings us alive
The story of the queen who cried and bled
Instruction manuals on how to survive

Whispering through the pillows of blue
The stars will forever find our race
What you say is never true
A coated knife, and a smack in the face

Screaming through the bedposts of gray
The clouds consume an unliked thought
Blood is the price that we must pay
Where are the pills you supposedly brought?

Bleeding through the mattress of pink
The sky unfolds into an extensive cage
The stains that will always stay on the sink
We try to repress the virus called rage

Crying through a frame of steel
The rainbow that falls from its place
You should have noticed the broken seal
We put the break into the brace

Cutting through the cotton of white
The meteors rain down on our city
Kill us in our beds tonight
Drowning in the tears of pity

Sinking through the draperies of green
The planets spin around a ball
The horrors that each one of us has seen
You're holding the gun that will kill us all

Laughing through the quilts of black and white
Their satellites that crash to a halt
Our dulled outline is becoming bright
Salting your wounds was never our fault

Sleeping through the dreams of color
The atmosphere collapses right on time
Amid the shouts their voice becomes duller
An underground minority and the perfect crime
