My dove

by $~^~El!s!a~^~$   Jun 22, 2006

I had the hunter shoot the dove,
all because i was scared to love,

it tore my heart to watch it fall,
i felt the pain with every call,

i seen its eyes turn so raw,
all because i made a flaw,

i was terrified to get hurt,
so i watched you hit the dirt,

i thought the shot would take the love away,
but instead it chose to stay,

if only i were right,
not only the dove but the love would be out of sight,

i wish i could turn back time,
so once again you could be mine,

but instead my loving dove is dead,
and i sit here crying in my bed,
