*Ok so I posted this once before but it got REALLY messed up and didn't make sense so hopefully this is easier to understand. If something still doesn't make sense PLEASE comment me so I can fix it because I really like this poem.*
((Mia))"You're too fat, don't eat that
Listen to me here!
I can make you perfect and skinny"
Says the voice in my ear
((Mia))"That's too much, throw it up
If you want to look good"
((Me))"I do, I do, but isn't there another way?"
((Mia))"You really want this food?!"
((Me))"Other people eat and stay skinny
Why couldn't I?"
((Mia))"You're not like other people, you're FAT!"
Is the voice's sharp reply
((Mia))"Now turn away from this food, go throw up
Do something useful with your body"
I run crying to the bathroom
How hard could it be?
((Mia))"Good girl, slip your fingers down your throat
And leave the rest to me"
I do as she says, but it hurts
((Mia))"I never said it would be easy"
((Me))"I can't do this, I don't want to!"
I scream as I turn away
((Mia))"No! You can't leave! You need me!
Just give it another day!"
((Me))"Why should I? I've been fine without
I can be healthier than this"
((Mia))"What about your friends? They're tiny next to you
And don't you want that love of his?"
((Mia))"The only way you'll get it is if you follow me
I'm the answer to what you pray
This will all get better
If you just do as I say"
I think it over, unconvinced
((Me))"And it will get easier with time?"
She smiles a wide, successful grin
((Mia))"With me you'll be just fine"
Mia and I grow
Becoming the best of friends
Until HE finds out
And wants to put it to an end
HE says she's hurting me, making me worse
HE loves me too much to let me do this
But Mia and I have come through so much
She would be sorely missed
((Mia))"That's right, you need me more than HIM
HE can't make you perfect like I can"
((Me))"That's not true! I feel perfect with HIM
HE doesn't make me change who I am!"
((Me))"If that's what it's come to, I have to leave
We're obviously not meant to be"
((Mia))"NO! We're perfect, I own you!
You can't leave me!"
But I'm not listening, I'm over her
And while she still haunts me, she won't win
She was death, but HE is life
So I'm saved because of HIM.
