Moonlit Memoirs

by Mj   Jun 24, 2006

Maybe it's the way he catches my eye,
as we gaze at the moon,
floating high in the sky.
there are no lies
no disguise
it's just you and me.

we walk along the shore
a gentle kiss upon my cheek
just one touch from you
my knees go weak.
i'm melting in your arms
i could stay here forever.

the alarm goes off
i've been dreaming all along.
dreaming of what we used to be
why can't i just see
that we'll never be the same.

i guess you just don't give up on true love.
