She wrote

by Ashlin   Jun 24, 2006

This is a story
like many before
about a girl
who couldn't take no more

but her case is different
none like the rest
for her life was perfect
you'd be impressed

she strived to her fullest
to achieve her dreams
and she got them all
or so it seems

her home life was great
not poor, not rich
no yelling or fighting
there was no glitch

her grades where good
and her friends where the best
you may say this child
might have been blessed

but you may ask
what made her so sad?
for what we all see
nothing could have been bad

she has it in her journal
to every opinion and view
and yet some of them
you would have never of knew

for she wrote of her flaws
like every girl would
and told her journal
how she was misunderstood

she wrote of her hardship
like she would have many?
but for her perfect life
it was plenty

she wrote of her friends
and how much pain they go through
and with each page
the sadness had grew

she wrote all the secrets
good or bad
and wrote how some things
just made her so mad

she wrote what she saw
starvation, cutters, and the abused
and how she had not said a word
when her friends where bruised

she hated to see pain
she hated it all
she hated the fact
that she had it all

she knew she was selfish
knew it was wrong
but told herself
she didn't belong

she didn't belong
in a world so cruel
to have a perfect life
"I'm such a fool"

now four days later
she was found dead
with the journal over her heart
the last entry everyone read

for it sums up her journal
to every opinion and view
and yet some of them
you would have never of knew
