Different kind of free

by nicole   Jun 24, 2006

Walking down the street in town
the sun shining all around
singing my heart out to an audience of one

a smile on my face
everyone around has a frown
they're eyes and faces are all cast down

whats different from me and you
you probably don't have a clue
but when things are blue
this is what I do

I get on my knees
asking Jesus please
give me strength to carry on
let no thought of gloom dampen my song

all I live for is to praise Your name
to be changed
everyday not to be the same

Ive reached the end of this trek
and I'm not gonna look back
down cast faces will be all I see

but in Jesus I am free to smile to laugh to love Him wholly I truly believe that is His purpose for me
