Wind

by peter   Jun 24, 2006

Shining through the skies
like a backdrop in the sky,
this large wing of tenderness
slowly passed me by.
A breeze caressing a lonely crowd
of blessed souls and auspicious lives.

I want to place my hand
to stop the sands of time,
freeze a memory of you
to treasure all my life.

Does the wind still touch you
when you 're all alone?
In this solitude,
do you still dream to fly?

Stop me from believing
how this this dream 's becoming.
Hurt and promise me
you 'll say goodbye.
Leave me here alone,
just let me be the one to cry.

Touching you is heaven,
and looking through your eyes.
There 's a sense and meaning
with your every precious smile.

As gentle as a feather
when you let it go,
gracefully it dances
to my song.

Stop me from believing
how this this dream 's becoming.
Hurt and promise me
you 'll say goodbye.
Leave me here alone,
just let me be the one to cry.
