Alone (Prose)

by Sean Dohr   Jun 24, 2006

The tears that fall upon this page will no sooner dry than the ink with which I have penned my soul. The ink with which I have written words that only vaguely describe the pain inside. The emptiness I feel as the young men and women around me are tucked into bed. I wait eternally for the warmth brought on by a mother's touch or the gentle hand of a father gliding across my back. I wait for the words I long to hear. I love you...

Wow, this is absolutely heartbreaking. Sadly, there are countless people who can relate to this.
I can offer no critique at all, but I will say that your opening line in this is brilliant!
Take care and keep it up~Holly
