Just not perfect...

by Sophie   Jun 24, 2006

When I was a little girl
I dreamed like all children do
But in my childish dreams I thought
I'd married someone much more perfect than you

Your eyes are not as beautiful
As the eyes to which Id give my soul
Your hair is not as straight
It's sloppy, strange and dull

You don't have the perfect abs
There's floppy baby fat instead
Your nose is not as small
As the voice in my dreams had said

You don't walk like the stylish guy
That filled my dreams with joy
Instead you trip, slip and fall
Like a 1 year old little boy

You don't do the things
I imagined you would do
Little gestures, tiny words
Never notice when I am blue

Instead you smile happily
As I feel your embrace
You love, respect and make me smile
Just by one look at your face

Maybe you're not as perfect
As I always thought you would be
But in all your imperfection I realized
You are perfect enough for me...
