Unseen

Just that morning,
Smiles lit up your face,
Not a care, not a worry
Just living that day

Happy thoughts and laughter
Wasting class time away
Looking at old pictures
Of fun nights and days

The least expecting occurrence
Suddenly comes into play
Changing every ones life
On this tragic day

Stunned and lost in confusion
Turning to all you can
Why and how could this happen
To such a good close friend

Now all thats left
An emptiness inside
A broken heart, a memory
Of an unforgotten life,

Life always turns corners
We tend to not see
Things happen we cant explain
Or realize the degree of the tragedy

But we can take the knowledge
We gain through our pain
Make it all we can
And hold on tight to the life we live

We cant take it for granted
All those unforgotten memories
And just know they will be
Friends for life, friends for ever
Even when they are unseen

This was written for my Bf in memory of his best friend Liz, she just graduated high school and feel asleep at the wheel. 15 Minutes away from her house, coming home from a camping trip.
6-26-06 R.I.P Liz, we miss you now and forever. .
