Other Ways

by Stumbling Shaman   Jun 27, 2006

So often we forget to begin the journey
Through fear of being left behind
Resolve to take on your evolution
And gradually free up your thoughts
Spark those miniture revolutions in your mind
By nurturing your gifts of reason and doubt
Think for yourself upon all you've been taught
Break the ogre's shackles, inside and out

To each their own path
Myriad facets of the one mind
Flowing through the best and worst
Of humankind passing you by
Hold steady as you're taken down
Or shown wonders that lie beyond
Weave the thread of your own dreams
Into the tapestry of your life and love

Light fires, make someone smile
Dance in your mind, suit your own style
Pay no mind to the petty and mindless
Take the brunt, take responsibility
Don't be afraid to feel blessed
By simple acts of kindness
Open handed, open heart
Accept your divinity as life's impassioned kiss
