Cruel Cancer

by Lenny   Jun 27, 2006

Orbs of misery fall, Pitter-patter,
Caplets of gloom, intractable and obstinate,
Disconnected they eat, like acid to flesh,
Creations from spite, almost incomprehensible,
To their creator, mislead and misused,
Swallowed and absorbed, too confused to wipe away,
Trickling they sink ever deeper,
Saturating, inundating they taunt,
Forcing, burning, burrowing their way,
Deeper, deeper, dilute the blood,
Injected to emotion, they fester,
Deluging, engulfing, they sting and burn,
Tears of love, such cruel, cruel cancer,
Orbs of misery fall, Pitter-patter,
To eat away a heart, lost in sleeve-worn emotion,
To consume that creature so often wronged. . .
