Bedtime

by Avrii Monrielle   Jun 27, 2006

Silver droplets on a crystal screen
Fingers flying under coverlets
Eyelashes flittering
Resistance of tiredness

Thinking of stories so sweet
Shivers from the cold wind
Enveloped in thick, soft blankets
A smooth, fluffy pillow to call your own

Hearing crickets outside, singing lullabies
A violin of grasshoppers marching
Night flowers blossoming
Fireflies glisten in the night sky

Dreaming of love, fame, legends, friends...
Slowly sliding under the covers
Goodnight.
