Sometimes i question
if there ever was an us
it seems so long ago
that i actually gave you my trust
how could i confuse just
a simple one day bliss
into the greatest moment
of a lifetime by one simple kiss
you were like a journey
i learned along the way
that each moment was
different and special making me thankful for everyday
but sometimes even when
things go so right
we'd get into an argument
and begin to fight
maybe if we'd stepped back
and looked at the big picture
we were crazy about each other
why be so bitter?
but nobody's perfect and maybe
we were too young to realize that
we'd still be together if we just
held our tongue
i know what we said we really didn't mean
but nobody's perfect especially
you and me
of all the things i could have said
i never told you what i was
