If Only Someone Taught Him

One time while driving in my car,
Almost home, it's not that far.
Suddenly I see two bright lights,
Now I'm building up with fright.
Then I feel a sudden jerk,
I've been hit by a drunk with a silly smirk.
I soon feel myself going through the window shield,
Into an old, dark deserted field.
I'm bleeding pretty bad,
I've never felt so angry and mad.
I hear the cops arriving,
as my sad crying heart is thriving.
but the beat gets slower really fast,
fearing this day will soon be my last.
As I hear the policeman say,
"I'm sorry, this girl is going to die today."
Now I lay here, on my death bed,
I will lay here seventeen and dead.
I hear my mom crying, dad just looks away,
from where I am forced to lay
The noise is now gone, I beg to be alive,
If only someone taught him
not to drink and drive
