Graduation

Graduation day is here
That's all I seem to hear
Everyone's excited I seem to grin from ear to ear
I was so happy that I could finally say
"I'm a graduate today!"

Everything was well
Then my ego fell
I couldn't believe it
The day had come and I was losing my grip

I love him so much,
I guess that's why,
I didn't want school to end so I would just cry,
I knew I would miss him
With no absolute doubt
But what could I do,
Besides sit home and pout

I got home after graduation
And made a realization,
Tears were coming down
And I couldn't stop them
I had started to weep
Without making a peep
So nobody noticed
When I cried myself to sleep

At graduation many things can happen
You can scream, cry or start laughing
But to me graduation was upsetting
Because to this love it was an ending
