Helpless

by cYc   Jul 2, 2006

Please don't look at me
With those big brown eyes
Those eyes are forcing me
Not to do what I've planned.

Please don't talk to me
Spouting sweet and lovely words
Those words are telling me
To love you more and more.

Please don't wrap your arms around me
To keep me safe and warm
Those arms of your's are making me
Too weak to let you go.

But now that you're looking at me
Now that you're talking to me
Telling me that you truly cared,
while holding me close to you...

I discover myself so diluted and weak.
Helplessly clueless what to do,
Because I found myself loving you more--
More than I intended too.

[I really liked how you worded those lines!]
The last stanza put the cherry on top and strengthened the poem. I thought it was pretty good. I liked it alot. Keep it up! 5/5
