A Sin Left Unpaid

by brokenxmirror92   Jul 2, 2006

A girl sat in the shadows,
Of her dimly lit room.

She took to much
She could barely consume.

A bruise on her heart
A tear on her face.

Blood dropping from
The stained white lace.

She had done it, a cut
Etched across her wrist.

It was a habit,
Something she coudn't resist.

To her it was simply
Just an added scar,

Her own punishment
For wishing on a star.

For wishing that he would
Love her once more

Only to get
Another closed door

The blade dug
Into her skin.

Through the pain,
Came a maniacal grin.

One drop of blood,
Now a crimson sea.

It almost felt good,
To a certain degree.

Objects blur.
Colors Fade.

Then one last breath,
A sin left unpaid.

    A bruise on her heart
    A tear on her face.

Loved these lines. So powerful for something so short.

    Overall a really great write.
