Fake

by ~Thorns On My Grave~   Jul 5, 2006

Why do you choose to be something you're not?
You can't live behind a veil your whole life,
Your new beauty is something that you bought,
Everything you ever knew is now strife,
You use magazines as your new source book,
Cosmetics are used to hide your fair face,
You fool people with your beauty queen look,
I see you wear your delicate cheap lace.
You and I both know who you are inside,
Someone you used to know as well as I,
A lost little girl with nowhere to hide,
So desperate to fit in it makes you cry.
And happy you are now, they gave in too,
Such an ignorant girl, what will you do?
