48 times/ eyes shined suicide

by Iyla   Jul 5, 2006

Contemplating her life, sitting on her bed
she stares at the sharp object that's overturned
her eyes fixed on the dancing glare
not understanding why it's her that hurts

grasping onto her sheets as she screams
at the grotesque reflection in the mirror
falling into sleep, her world turning black
her grip loosens as her eyes start to tear

she awakens, her eyes hypnotized on the knife
she walks over to her dresser, puts it on her hand
feels it's grip, it's power, it's life long curse
" no-one sees it, no-one will understand"

her grip tightens on the glowing blade
as she forces it deep into her flesh
blood spills everywhere, staining her clothes
again and again until she runs out of breath

her eyes are blank, staring into nothing
she found her escape, a way to be free
"I'm tired, tired of living like I do,
I'm tired of everyone stereotyping me"??

Days passed, her parents found no sign of her
The went to her room, and saw blood under the door
They opened it quickly, her mother screamed
Their faces frozen in sadness and horror

All they could see was a body covered in blood
they counted the stabbings, they reached 48 times
a girl that showed no pain, a girl that always smiled
they would never have guessed her eyes shined suicide
