On a Summer's Day

by EpithetPoet   Jul 5, 2006

Oh summer's day, fly with me and i willl be your breeze
Wisking the clouds to shade weary dogs
Drizzling sun's kiss onto a lover's brow
Come chase the leaves that ran away
Finding shelter under a toddler's happy shoe
Come fly with me and be my sun
And i will always be your moon
Illuminate me my dear, find solice in my glow
For i will hold you up in solemn times
Because i love you far more than you'll ever know
Come be with me, under these willow's tears
And hold me closer than ever before
Because on your lips i found that kiss
That i never wanted more
