That girl

by jennifer cheng   Jul 9, 2006

She's been through so much she lost count
She knows how to bring herself back up when she's down
She smiles so much her laugh is genuine
When she talks to you, you can't help but give in
Everyone looks at her and wonders how does she stay so strong
But ladies and gentlemen I'm here to tell you that you're all wrong
Her laugh isn't always real and her smile counts for her tears
She acts like she isn't afraid but pain is what she fears
She hates drama she doesn't want to deal
But she tries to be herself she tries to be REAL
But the people around her they always try to bring her down
That's why she closes her eyes and blocks out all the sounds.
She hates to cry she hates the people who hurt her
She hopes that everything was what they once were

And then again she was torn between two boys
One made her feel like the world the other got her heart destroyed
She was happy with one that made her feel loved
She was always hurt by the one who crushed her world
She thought she lost her feelings for him and she moved on
She met another guy got to know him and had fun
But that guy decided to deceived her and made her cry
She regretted everything because she really tried
Her friends couldn't do anything but be there
But imaged of him were every where
Day by day a week passed by
She walked down the hall and he said hi
She looked up and saw him again, surprised
She felt guilty because she hurt him and yet he's still there
All along he was with her and she finally knew she always cared
Her feelings came back twice as strong
But she just didn't have the guts to move on
Because it took a break up and a heart break
To realize the one she loved was here to stay

Even though the story has not end
You can say her number one priority is her friends
But what can you say when everything changes for the worst
She always thought that she would be the first
To break away from the group and get hurt
But it surprised her to know that lovely girl was the one
To hurt everyone and block out their sun
She couldn't take the changed and replace her pain with anger
Who could possibly knew that lovely girl would turn into a stranger

And now I'm here to conclude
That everything I wrote is the truth
This girl kept that smile even though it was fake
She wore it everyday and it was there to stay
She was also the one that kept that smile on everyone's face
She never once doubted herself she never gave up
She always believed in herself and she kept her hopes up
It was painful but she knows it was another step to the top
Because she will go on believe in herself and she won't stop
