Little Girl

by Alexa.   Jul 9, 2006

Broken dreams and shattered hopes,
A poor little girl crumpled on the floor,
Her sobs barely audiable yet enough to chill,
Her soft pale skin covered in tears..

Messy hair over that scared tainted face,
Two hands praying to be taken away,
Scars of pain formed in her heart,
Sighs of emptyness and tears of fright...

Arms taking that poor little girl in,
She finds comfort in a strangers home,
Her family and friends thinking shes no longer there,
Give her a goodbye that wasnt pleasant in any way..

Excuses and apologies being made when its too late,
Asking for forgiveness when it will never be okay,
Hoping things will pass a single mother cries,
Wishing that maybe one day her little girl could come back..

A name being whispered in the darkness,
Words of comfort thrown into the air,
Love that was never there coming out from underneath,
As the poor little girl finds a home in the darkest and strangest place...
