Just tell me we'd be perfect together

by Raydeen   Jul 9, 2006

"I love you" she said.
He laughed in her face,
he started to walk away,
and her heart began to race.

She grabbed his arm,
he turned around in anger.
No one ever made him this mad,
and for this he blamed her.

"Please stay" she begged him.
"You know you're not worth staying for" he told her.
Tears began to build in her eyes,
and her vision was a blur.

"Oh no, don't you cry" he whispered.
She looked at the ground,
he wanted to know what she wanted of him.
The truth was she wanted the love she thought they both together had found.

"I'll never be truthful," he smirked,
"all I'll do is lie"
"It's alright," she whispered,
"just tell me we'd be perfect together, I'd rather you lie and tell me that, because boy, if you left, I'd die"
