Decisions

Decisions

Every word that is typed
Slender fingers shivering upon a keyboard
Striking the unbeaten drum
As it reverberates throughout the room

The memories keep crashing
The power sending me to an intangible bliss
The darkness is sweet
But the fear of turning back returns to me

Every whisper in my ear
The voices in my head are screaming at me
Stay conscience and alive
But the regret has sent its miniature deadly bullet

Eye upon the clock
Heart beats to the tempo of the song
Each minute passes by
The race of time has been drugged to bliss

Words strike a chord
The secrets of the past too far fetched to believe
The slip of my tongue
Can you see the tears of blood running?

Song after song
Suffocation creeping into my fragile brain
The smoke has ascended
My lips swollen from my nervous gnaw

Torture in the mind
Eyes scan the bleak but deadly conversation
Heart clenches with grief
The reality sinks in faster and more powerful

You asked me for my answer
My heart\'s opinion clashing with my mind\'s
My time is running out
Forty-Eight Hours left to evaluate the scenario

What do I believe?
Do I dare trust what I am too afraid to trust?
You say the words
The meaning hanging loosely at your lips

Every word that is typed
Slender fingers shivering upon a keyboard
Await the day that comes
The strength of me melting like an ice sculpture under the sun
