Memory Lane

I remember that day when you said yes,
I was on top of the world, I was blessed.
Now as I look down memory lane,
I recall that you felt the same.
The same feeling I had for you,
That little thing called love, that you felt too.
But then you told me that we should wait,
When we both came back, well go on a date.
As time went by, we both got busy.
I started to realize, this wouldnt be easy.
So the feelings died down, as we grew apart,
But my love for you, stayed in my heart.
